Accounts and identities

Automatic server discovery, OAuth for Google, manual IMAP and SMTP setup, aliases and signatures.

  1. Sign in with Google

    Google accounts sign in on Google's own login page with OAuth 2.0 and PKCE, so FOLD never sees or stores your Google password.

  2. Manual IMAP and SMTP setup

    Enter server, port and encryption yourself when discovery finds nothing or when your provider needs different values; FOLD connects only over TLS.

  3. Aliases, names and signatures

    An account can send from several addresses, each with its own sender name and signature, and replies go out from the address a message was sent to.

  4. Built-in providers

    FOLD ships server profiles for eleven mail providers; every other address is set up through DNS, your domain's autoconfig file or by hand.
